The tide of change has been flowing with considerable momentum. Recently, FOOTBALL NSW hosted the inaugural FOOTBALL4ALL Gala Day with 200 special needs players taking part from 14 clubs. Bree's mighty Titans were there as well.

It's a story not to be missed where the results were irrelevant. It was a chance to embrace the game for what it truly is and also the chance to make new friends.

Hyundia Star of the Week - Episode 2
Hyundai Star of the Week - Greg Rendell

There are thousands of untold stories about the "weekend warriors" who keep amateur football alive.  Without hard working volunteers the game would never survive at the grassroots level and beyond.

In our first episode we pay tribute to Greg Rendell, who has worked tirelessly for the last 15 years in numerous roles for the famous Helensburgh Thistle Football Club, which is located 50 kilometres south of Sydney.

Formed in 1895 by immigrant miners from Scotland, Thistle has a large number of footballers taking part in both winter and summer competitions.  At least 1,000 locals from a community of just over 3,600 are involved with the club.

Greg wears many hats - week in week out - but perhaps his greatest contribution is leading the proposal for a $500,000 lighting and ground upgrade at Helensburgh's home ground - Rex Jackson Oval.  Local council has approved the bid!
